General Field Standards
Land History
Land planted for production of all certified classes of peanut seed shall not have grown peanuts during the previous two years unless a preceding peanut crop was grown from a class of certified seed of the same variety.
Unit of Certification
A field or a portion of a field constitutes the unit of certification. A portion of a field shall be clearly marked to prevent mechanical mixtures with non-eligible portions at harvest.
Field Inspection
At least one field inspection shall be conducted, preferably during the early bloom stage.
Isolation
Fields of all classes of certified seed production shall be separated by ten feet from fields of another variety or non-eligible plantings of the same variety.
